Before the actual portrait session, NB expressed how she wanted her session to tell a story (in order to put together a black and white photo book). She wanted it to show her growth as a dancer – basic moves around the pole, more difficult tricks, movement along the wall, shots around the bench, and finally walking away from the pole and leaving a bit to the imagination. I loved that NB wanted to do this and during the session, I felt like it was a glimpse through her experience with pole dancing. There were amazing tricks – the backbend on the pole still boggles my mind! – and a celebration of the female spirit and sexiness.
NB, it was truly a pleasure capturing your growth and love for pole dancing. You did some beautiful moves and I know that as you continue to take more classes, you are only going to continue to grow and develop this passion even further!

I met RS when she was helping her fellow classmate, SM, with her portrait session. She was such a supportive force inside the studio and during that time, RS expressed her excitement for her very own session. A week later and it was now her turn. I laughed – and strangely understood – when RS said that she was going to channel another side of herself – one less inhibited by the presence of a camera. Can I simply say RS just shined in front of the camera? She was absolutely stunning and nowhere near camera shy.
It was great initially meeting you, RS, and then finally taking your portraits; in the end, I’m glad you decided to get a corset because you looked amazing! Also, Stacey’s make-up was equally amazing and I loved the red lipstick; it was definitely a modern pin-up feel!

Fiery. Spirited. Sexy and beautiful. That was JP during her portrait session. She exhibited such a positive energy, showcasing moves around the pole and wall. I enjoyed capturing the graceful movement as she twirled around the pole, but also when JP brought out that sexy side – photos taken in a black and pink tutu with a smile. She, too, had a mini-boudoir session, similar to many of the other girls, and again, I enjoyed taking two sides of her – the athletic, hardworking individual and then the fun, playful other half.
It was truly a pleasure meeting you, JP. Despite taking a break from pole dancing, you were great; hopefully you will get back into it very soon and join the others in what is an intense workout!
