I feel like I know this little man through the pictures posted on Facebook. Through photos, I have watched him grow – from the first days home to January, I have grown fond of Lucas and smile every single time I see a new photo of him (my favorite is definitely the one with the Mr. T onesie). So when I found out that Jen was bringing Lucas to Melissa’s baby shower, I was very excited to finally meet him. The photos just do not do him justice; Lucas is even cuter in person and is amazing with whomever holds him. There were no tears and I was able to hold this bundle of joy and watch him stare at the giant paper lanterns, check out the girls at the baby shower, and fondly drool on my cardigan.
Jen, you and Herman have an amazing young man and I cannot wait to watch him continue to grow!

This is my favorite picture of Melissa from her baby shower. With every single card she read, she would say, “This is going to make me cry” and she would quickly put it down and Melissa said that she would read it later. This picture shows her genuine emotion over a card that Jen made for her, and you can clearly see her appreciation and love for those surrounding her on this special day.
